ILMiT

ILMiT is UC RUSAL's unique domestic research center engaged in comprehensive research and development in the field of aluminum-based materials and products for various industries. Research is conducted in four main areas, including deformable, cast aluminum alloys and composites, and materials for additive technologies. Its own testing center allows to conduct comprehensive materials research at the research and development stage and also to estimate and control quality and characteristics of developed products.

On the basis of the Institute there is the Center of additive manufacturing, including full cycle of innovative products creation from powder spraying and printing to creation of post-processing technologies and products quality control.

The ILMiT testing center performs the full range of works and research to obtain reliable information about the chemical composition, mechanical and corrosion properties, metallographic examination of products, alloys and materials based on aluminium as well as to prepare samples for testing.

The ILMiT testing center is accredited in the AAC Analytica system for compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This accreditation is officially recognized by the International Laboratory Accreditation Organization ILAC.
